In this post, I will share with you some essential mindset for getting back into shape. These are the 6 most important things that you need to do if you want to get back in shape fast.

1) You Need To Be A Realist About Your Body’s Conditioning Ability:

The first thing is that you have to accept your current condition and its limitations. If you don’t like it then change something else or quit working out altogether!

2) You Have To Accept That Your Body Will Never Be At Its Best Again:

If you think that your body is at its best now then you’re wrong. No matter how much you train, how many times you eat junk food, or how much alcohol you drink; your body won’t ever reach its peak condition again. So stop thinking that way right now and start focusing on improving yourself instead of worrying about what your body looks like today.

3) You Have To Stop Worrying About What Others Think Of You:

It doesn’t matter how good you look, no one really cares. Everyone has their own personal opinion about everything and everyone thinks they’re better than others. Don’t listen to them, just focus on yourself and doing what makes you happy.

4) You Have To Stop Having Excuses:

No matter what the reason is, whether it’s being busy, tired, hungover or anything else; there’s always a way to work out if you really want to. If you really want to get back in shape and live a healthy lifestyle, then you need to stop making excuses and start taking action.

You can’t just set a goal to get back in shape because “getting back in shape” is too broad of a goal.

Is getting back in shape just about being healthy, or is it about looking good naked as well? What about having more energy and being more confident?

These are all things to take into account when setting goals.

6) You Have To Be Willing To Put In The Time And Effort:

This one is pretty self-explanatory. If you want to get back in shape, then you’re going to have to put in the time and effort. No shortcuts or quick fixes. This isn’t a pill that you can take or some special diet plan.

It all boils down to hard work and that’s it.

These are the 6 most important mindset factors that you need to have in order to get back in shape. If you really want it then you won’t give up. There will be times in the near future where you’ll want to quit or just give up altogether; but as long you stay focused and keep these things in mind then you’ll get where you’re trying to go.

There are many approaches when it comes to getting back into shape and living a healthy lifestyle. You don’t have to become a monk or give up the things that you love doing.

It’s all about making better choices and living a little healthier each day. Don’t try to do too much too soon and make changes at a comfortable pace that won’t cause you to get burned out or give up altogether.

Having the right mindset is important when it comes to getting in shape because this will help keep you motivated even through the rough times.

If you haven’t done so already, I strongly encourage you to look back at parts 1 and 2 of this series to make sure that you’re starting off on the right foot.

The last thing that I’m going to touch on is the importance of consistency. This is something that’s truly important when it comes to getting in shape no matter what path you take. You can’t be doing this for a few weeks and then quit because it gets too hard.

You want to make sure that you’re consistent with whatever it is that you do. This could mean working out 3 or 4 times a week, or eating healthy for the long haul. Take a look in the mirror and ask yourself if you’re really willing to do this.

Even when you’re tired or don’t feel like doing it, are you still going to get up and work out?

In part 4 of this series I’m going to give you some tips on working out, eating right and other things that will help you get back in shape.

In part 2 I went more in depth on how to get your mindset right for success and working out. In this final segment of the series I’m going to go over some of the things that are important to stay focused on and ways to keep life a little less chaotic.

Always Be Learning:

There is never a time where you can become complacent or stop learning. The world is always changing and if you stop learning, then your world will become more chaotic.

Make it a point to always be learning something new. This could be as simple as reading a non-fiction book on a topic that you’re interested in or going to college to further your education.

You don’t have to get a master’s degree or even earn a 4-year degree. Community college is a great place to go to learn new skills and advance your current career.

Making it a point to keep your mind open to learning will keep life from becoming boring and mundane. It’ll also help with keeping you out of a rut or feeling stuck in life.

Stay Grounded:

Sometimes it’s good to take time to reflect on what’s important in life. In my case, I live in a RV full-time and travel the country. This is something that I enjoy doing, but I also have a family that I take time to go see.

I make it a point to visit my family at least once every couple of months, even if it’s a quick trip to Vegas to see my mom.

This is your life and you can live it how you want. Make sure you take time to enjoy the important things in your life rather than just rushing from one thing to the next.
