What is a Real Natural Bodybuilder?
A real natural bodybuilder is one who has not been exposed to steroids or other drugs in their life. They have never used illegal substances such as cocaine, heroin, marijuana, alcohol or tobacco. The only thing they do not use are drugs are steroids and hormones. These are all banned from competition in most countries including USA (see here).
How many of them exist?
There are no statistics available on the number of natural bodybuilders. However, it is estimated that there are several thousand. Most of these guys are probably living in America and Europe, but some of them live abroad too. Some even go to places like Africa or Asia where there is less regulation over steroids and hormones.
Are there different types of natural bodybuilders?
The type of natural bodybuilder varies widely. There are those who train with weights, others train using machines and still others do both. Some train very intensely while others may just focus on cardio. All of them have their own style and approach to training which is unique to themselves.
Is it possible to become a real natural bodybuilder?
Yes, it is possible! It is definitely possible to become a real natural bodybuilder. There are several requirements that have to be met in order to achieve this. One of the most important ones is that you cannot take any supplements or drugs at all. This means no creatine, whey, NO2, steroids, HGH, etc. If you do take any of these it completely defeats the purpose of being natural and you may as well just use steroids.
Do people really compete without taking anything at all?
Yes, a natural bodybuilder would never take anything that would give him an advantage over another competitor. They want to win, but they want to win fairly. This means they are never going to take anything or do anything that would tip the balance in their favor. In some contests, there are actually tests done before the event to make sure nobody is taking anything (see here). If someone is found to have taken anything, they are disqualified.
What are some of the benefits of being a real natural bodybuilder?
The benefits of being a natural bodybuilder are many. The benefit that stands out the most is that you are not harming your body along the way.
