The most common question I get asked when it comes to creatine is “Which one is better?”
There are many benefits of both, but there’s no clear winner.
So which one do you choose?
Well, that depends on your goals and what type of athlete you want to become. If you’re just looking for a quick boost in performance then creatine will probably work fine for you. However, if you want to maximize your gains over time, then you’ll need to use creatine with a loading protocol.
What is Creatine?
Creatine is a naturally occurring compound found in foods such as meat and fish. It works very well at increasing muscle mass and strength because it increases ATP production (energy) during exercise. While creatine does increase energy levels during physical activity, it doesn’t actually provide any additional calories or nutrients.

How To Take Creatine?
There are multiple ways to take creatine:
Loading Protocol: The loading protocol involves taking 20 grams of creatine monohydrate every day for a week, and then maintenance which is 5 grams per day. You can either take it pre-workout or even split it up throughout the day. This is the most effective way to take creatine.
You should notice results in a few days.
Mixture Protocol: This is another method that will work, but takes longer to build up creatine levels. Instead of taking 20 grams per day, you take 5 grams for the first month and then 10 grams the second month. Maintenance is 2-5 grams per day after the second month.
You should start noticing results after a month or two.
Cell Volumization: This is the cheapest method to take creatine. Instead of taking the powder, you can just drink a solution of creatine. This works by drawing water into your cells which causes your muscles to volumize.
You can achieve this same effect by drinking a lot of water, but this will take a lot longer to build up creatine levels.
