The first question that comes to mind when thinking about HIIT is how does one perform such a workout without any equipment or even proper guidance. Well, there are several ways to do so. You can go to your local gym and ask them to teach you how to do HIIT. They will probably tell you that they have no time since their classes are full right now. Another way would be to purchase a HIIT machine at your local fitness center. These machines allow you to perform HIIT workouts without any equipment. However, these machines usually cost quite a bit of money and may not provide the same benefits as using a real HIIT machine. Finally, you can try out some HIIT programs online. These programs allow you to perform HIIT workouts while watching videos of other people doing HIIT workouts. While these programs are great if you want to see what others are experiencing, they aren’t necessarily going to give you the best results because they don’t simulate actual physical activity.

What Is High-Intensity Interval Training?

High-intensity interval training (HIIT) is a form of physical exercise. It involves a person going all out for a short period of time, followed by a short rest period. Then this pattern is repeated a number of times to make up for the whole HIIT session. This style of training allows one to achieve maximum benefits in minimum time.

What Are the Benefits of High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)?

There are many benefits to HIIT. One of the most notable ones is that it allows one to achieve their desired results in a relatively short amount of time. This is because interval training burns more calories than regular steady-pace physical activity. Another benefit is that it greatly increases endurance and speed. Interval training also involves constantly changing exercise patterns which acts to keep the mind and body from reaching a plateau, thus avoiding boredom and continued improvement.

How is HIIT Different From Other Workouts?

Most other exercise routines involve a person exercising at a steady pace for a long duration. While this does provide the benefits of increasing your endurance and such, the intensity is never really cranked up high enough to provide maximum results in minimum time. Interval training involves short bursts of activity followed by periods of rest. One of the best things about it is that it provides maximum results with minimum time investment.

How Does HIIT Differ From Regular Cardio and Strength Training?

While both interval training and cardio focus on endurance, interval training is a much shorter workout. It focuses on high intensity bursts of physical activity followed by short periods of rest, and then repeating this cycle several times over. While regular cardio increases endurance, interval training actually provides the benefits along with increased strength.

How Does HIIT Differ From Bodybuilding?

Bodybuilding focuses on muscle growth. While it is true that interval training does in fact provide some muscle growth, its main focus is on interval bursts of activity rather than prolonged weightlifting.

When You Should Use HIIT

One should use high-intensity interval training only when he or she has a specific goal in mind. For example, one might want to increase their endurance for an upcoming marathon.
