Hit your weakness with a hammer!
The old saying goes “You catch more flies with honey than vinegar.” Well, if you are like most people, then you probably have been told that same saying many times before. However, it doesn’t really make sense to me because I don’t believe that there is any such thing as one-size-fits all when it comes to strength training.
So why do we keep repeating the same old advice? Because it works for us, right?
I mean I get it; we’re human beings and we want to feel good about ourselves. But let’s face it: If you were truly strong, you wouldn’t need someone else telling you how to train or what exercises work best for your body type. You’d just figure out the answers yourself. And that’s exactly what most people fail at when it comes to weight lifting. They either don’t know enough about their own bodies to begin with, or they think that if they lift weights hard enough, then they’ll look like Arnold Schwarzenegger.
And while I’m sure there are some people out there who actually could pull off looking like Mr. Olympia (and I’ve seen them), the vast majority of people aren’t going to ever reach those levels of physical perfection.
So why bother trying?
Instead, you should focus on what works for your own body type, and that’s what I’m here to help with. So if you’re ready to stop reading the same old nonsense on the internet and get down to some real information, then let’s get started!
Do you want to catch more flies with honey or do you just want to look good?
Well, if you’re like most people, then you probably want a little bit of both…
