How to Stop Sucking at Life and Win at Everything

Why Am I Bad At Working?

There are many reasons why one would suck at work. Some of them might be: laziness, lack of motivation, being lazy, having no drive or passion for your job; and finally there’s just plain incompetence. There are several factors which cause someone to be bad at their job. You may have some of these reasons yourself!

Lack of Motivation

People who don’t want to do something tend to suck at it. If you’re bored with your current job, then you’ll probably suck at it too. Lacking motivation doesn’t necessarily mean that you won’t try hard though. Lack of motivation could simply be due to boredom or other things like stress or pressure from others.

Being Bored With Your Job

If you’re bored with your job, then you’ll probably suck at it too. Being bored with your job means that you’re not doing something else. You might be bored because of other activities which are taking up your time such as studying, socializing or even sleeping. When you’re bored, it makes it difficult to concentrate on any task at hand.

A lack of motivation isn’t always caused by boredom though. Sometimes it’s due to other factors such as stress or pressure from others.

Stress and Pressure From Others

Stress can be caused by many things. It could be the fear of financial ruin, the fear of losing your job, the fear of not being able to support your family, or even the fear of letting others down. These are all very real fears which impact people’s lives every day. A lot of times pressure and stress causes people to not live life to the fullest.

They end up just plodding along going through the motions just to get by from day to day.

Incompetence

There are many possible reasons why one is incompetent. It could be due to a lack of skills or knowledge to perform a task. It could also be that the task at hand is just too difficult for them. Or maybe they’re just lazy.

If you really think about it though, everyone is incompetent at some things. Even the most skilled people in the world are probably incompetent at some things too.

Were You Born This Way?

The easy answer to this is yes. In the past, many psychologists used to believe that people were “born bad” and that criminals and other disfunctional people were simply that way because of heredity. These theories have long since been debunked though. The truth of the matter is that most people are “made” not “born.” Environmental factors and experiences shape people more than genetics.

The Truth

Most people are a combination of these factors. Usually a lot of them apply though. Ask yourself which ones apply to you and your situation and try to change for the better. Not an easy task by any means, but it’s not impossible.

The first step is always the hardest though.

What Can I Do To Change?

If you’ve read this far, then it’s likely that none of the above reasons apply to you. If that’s the case, then you might be asking yourself what you can do to change. The first thing that you should do is reassess yourself. Try to figure out what it is that you don’t like about yourself and others. Be completely honest with yourself.

You might not like yourself and that’s fine. In fact, a lot of people don’t. But if you really want to change yourself, you need to figure out why you feel that way about yourself. Then you need to change it.

This is easier said than done. If you’re feeling negative feelings for any reason, then it’s probably due to a negative event or events in your life. The reasons for these events can vary, but it’s up to you to change them.

Now changing core aspects of yourself is a very difficult thing to do and it’s not going to be easy. If you feel that you’re anti-social, then you need to force yourself to interact with others. It won’t be easy and it’ll most likely be very uncomfortable for you, but if you really want to change, then you need to do it. You’ll probably fail a lot at first, but the more you do it; the easier and more natural it will become for you.

Eventually you might not even need to force yourself to do it anymore because it will become a natural habit. The same thing can be applied to anything else you feel that needs changing.

A Question For You

Have you ever had moments where you just didn’t feel “right?”

Maybe you felt a little sad or upset for no real reason. Most people have had these feelings and some people have them often. These feelings usually mean that there are issues that you need to deal with in your life.

If you can relate to these feelings, then you should take the time to address them. Not dealing with your problems is only going to make them worse in the future. Take the first step and don’t look back.

You Deserve Happiness

Everyone does no matter what anyone says. You deserve to be happy and that’s completely within your reach as long as you put the work into it.
