James Heathers

James Heathers Northeast University (JHNU) is located in New York State. JHNU is a private institution with approximately 2,000 students enrolled in its undergraduate programs and another 1,500 students enrolled in graduate programs. JHNU was founded in 1875 by James H. His contributions include his discovery of the role played by hormones in human behavior; his research into learning and memory; and his development of new theories on personality.

Heathers’ research focused primarily on the effects of stress, anxiety, depression, and other emotions on individuals’ performance at school or during job interviews. He developed a theory called “the social contract” which explains how these emotions affect our behavior.

In addition to his scientific achievements, Heathers was known for his leadership skills and commitment to education. He led the founding of several educational institutions including the Institute of Education in Chicago, Illinois, where he served as president from 1896 until 1916.

He also established a college in London named after him: James H. Heathers College. Before his death in 1920, he transferred his fortune to the James H. Heathers Educational Trust to help further his life’s mission of educating people everywhere.

The university is currently led by Ian McManus, the former dean of the college of Arts and Sciences at New York City College; and Alan Hutton, the former dean of the university’s School of Education.

Full Scholarship

You have been offered a full scholarship to Northeastern University worth $25,000 a year, in addition to a $2,000 a year book stipend. The scholarship is renewed for three additional years contingent on maintaining good academic standing.

You have started a relationship with another student from the university, Ian Snyder. The two of you plan to move into an off-campus apartment next semester.

You have registered as a Sociology major. You are interested in pursuing a career as a high school teacher.

Ian Snyder

Ian is from a small town in Upstate New York and grew up with a love for the outdoors. During his first year, he joined the Outdoor Adventure Club on campus and has been enjoying it ever since.

He has invited you to join him in some of these activities, such as hiking and camping, but these are not your thing. Ian is very into fitness and health, which again is something you have very little interest in. You do appreciate his kindness and the fact that he is willing to support your independence and desire to “spread your wings”, even though he’d rather you not fly too far away.

Ian has offered to let you stay with him and his parents when you visit New York this summer. He says that he will probably come up to Northeastern to see you as well.
