Mastering Bodyweight Exercise: The Triple A Framework
The triple axis of strength, endurance and flexibility is one of the most powerful tools for improving your performance in any activity. It’s not just a nice to have, it’s essential for being able to perform at your best. You need all three axes if you want to become stronger and better than ever before!
Strength Training: Strength training helps build muscle mass which will make you stronger and faster. It also increases bone density, improves coordination and balance, reduces injury risk and promotes healthy growth.
Endurance Training: Endurance training helps increase your ability to carry out various activities for longer periods of time without getting tired or fatigued. It also builds lean muscle mass and decreases fat mass.
Flexibility Training: Flexibility training helps improve range of motion (ROM) in your joints, especially when performing high impact movements such as lifting weights. It also helps reduce pain and inflammation associated with arthritis, tendinitis, back problems and other joint conditions.
In order to maximize the benefits of these three axes of strength, endurance and flexibility you need to incorporate them into your daily life. You should challenge yourself in these three axes of strength, endurance and flexibility on a regular basis.
Challenge yourself by trying new things, even if you’re unsure of what you’re actually doing. You’ll be surprised at what your body is capable of! Try something new every week or month and you’ll continue to improve your physical capabilities as well as your mental toughness.
This triple axis approach to fitness should be used by anyone who wants to improve their physical capabilities. You don’t need fancy equipment or a personal trainer. You just need the desire to challenge yourself and become a better version of yourself.
Think of this as your personal challenge. Set a goal, follow a plan and stick with it! The result will be you’re more fit than you’ve ever been before!
