Patellar Tendon Strap: Are They Effective For Knee Issues?
The most common reason why people have knee pain is due to their knees being weak or injured. However, there are other reasons such as improper training, poor diet, lack of proper stretching and strengthening exercises, etc. These factors may cause your kneecap bone to become unstable and prone to injury. If this happens, then it will not only affect your physical condition but also affect your mental health.
If you suffer from knee pain, you may feel like there is no way out of the situation. You might even think that there is nothing you can do about it. But if you follow some simple steps to take care of your body properly, then you can get rid of knee pain completely!
So what exactly are patellar tendon straps?
Patellar tendon straps are elastic bands worn around the outside of your thigh bones. They prevent the tibia (thighbone) from sliding forward when you walk. These straps also keep your kneecap from slipping backward during exercise. The purpose of wearing these straps is to strengthen your leg muscles so they can better support your weight while walking and exercising.
There are also other beneficial uses for patellar tendon straps. If you suffer from weak knees or patellar instability, then using this strap can help to stabilize your knee and take stress off the patellar (kneecap). This helps prevents further injury.
Wearing the strap during physical activity decreases your chances of getting injured during sport or exercise and allows you to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
