The main ingredient in the ProVision 6 Protein Powder Blend is Pea Protein Concentrate (70%). Other ingredients include Hemp Protein Concentrate (30%), Wheat Germ Extract (10%), Cocoa Butter (20%) and other sources of amino acids (5%).
Pea Protein Concentrate is a good source of dietary protein as it contains all nine essential amino acids. It is the richest vegetable source of protein. Pea Protein is easily digested and absorbed. Due to high content of Amino Acids, it has a complete profile of essential and non-essential amino acids.
Whey Protein can be used to described a group of proteins that are found in cow’s milk. Whey is a by-product of cheese making.
Proteins in whey are soluble and are easily digested by the body. Due to this, whey is able to increase the rate of protein synthesis. Whey Protein can be described as a concentrated source of amino acids. These proteins are isolated and partially hydrolysed from the animal protein called casein.
Whey Protein is a complete protein , which means that it contains an adequate amount of all the essential amino acids that the body cannot produce on its own. It also contains large amounts of branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) – Valine, Leucine and Isoleucine.
These are the special amino acids that stimulate the muscle tissue and promote anti-catabolic processes in the body. This leads to a decrease in muscle breakdown, or in other words, it prevents your muscles from becoming smaller. In addition, it promotes an increase in muscle growth.
Whey Protein is a great supplement for building muscle, improving endurance and preventing muscle breakdown. Due to its fast absorption time, it can be taken any time of the day – before during or after physical activity.
In addition, it can also be taken before bed to improve sleep quality. Some people experience problems with an unpleasant feeling in the stomach when consuming Whey Protein.
