Mike Burgener’s Daughter:

The name of the father of Rep Mike Burgener is Michael J. Burgener.

He was born in New York City, USA on June 8th, 1967. His mother is Mary (Wright) Brinkman and his father is Michael J. Burgener Sr.. His parents divorced when he was very young but they remained friends until her death in 2005 at the age of 65 years old from cancer.

His father died while he was still living in New Jersey. He moved back to New York City where he attended John Jay High School and then went on to attend Columbia University where he graduated with a BFA in Acting.

He worked as an actor, writer, director and producer before retiring from acting in 2002.

He now lives in Brooklyn Heights with his wife Karen (nee Kincaid) Burgener and their two sons. They have one dog named “Bobby” and one cat named “Rabbit”.

In 2006, he became a weightlifter at the age of 50. He won his first competition at the World Championships in 2000.

Since then he has competed all over the world including Russia, China, Brazil, France and England. He holds records in many different sports such as power lifting (600+ pounds), bodybuilding (650 lbs.), strongman events (over 300 lb.) and even boxing! He has earned over 100 gold medals, 50 silver medals and 30 world records!

In 2016 he won the World Powerlifting Championships in the 75-79 age category with a back lift of 767 pounds (3 times his body weight). This was a world record and he also set records for the deadlift at 901 pounds and the combination lift of 1,668 pounds!

He now holds 4 world records in power lifting – including every record in his age group.

He is currently training for the World Championships in Russia this coming July where he hopes to break his own deadlift record!

His daughter is married to a man named Matt and they have a daughter, Mady, who was born on December 5th, 2013. They live in California but are moving to New York City soon!

They are expecting their second child in December of this year. It will also be a girl and they have chosen to name her “Martha” after Mary Burgener (Mike’s mother) who had a big part in raising him!

Mady is learning how to lift light weights already!

Mike’s daughter loves animals and volunteers at the local shelter. She works mainly with dogs and cats but the shelter also has a program where children can help harvest baby goats raised by a local farm.

She recently brought two home, Lily and Daisy, for Matt and Mady to keep as pets!

He is very proud of his wife who is an artist and his children.

His favorite food is steak and his favorite color is green. He loves to read and is currently reading “The Reason I Jump” by Naoki Higashida.

He is moving towards becoming a vegetarian mainly for health reasons.

When he isn’t training, he likes to spend time with his goats, rabbits and chickens!

His favorite movie is The Crow but he also enjoys action movies!

His favorite book is “Inferno” by Dan Brown.

He sometimes thinks about getting back into acting but is mainly focused on his goat farm now. He does get recognized from time to time but he doesn’t mind as it’s all part of being a celebrity!

He thinks that everyone has their own path and that we are all actors in the play of life. He believes that the arts are important as they allow us to interpret life and tell our stories.

He is very grateful for his success and tries to give back by mentoring younger actors and helping out with charities.

His life may have gotten off to a rough start but he is thankful for everything that he has. He hopes you enjoyed learning about him!
