Runa Energy Drink Overview:
The company name “runa” means “the way”. They are a brand with a strong focus on health and wellness. Their slogan is “Life is good when it’s good.” which is very fitting because they believe so!
They have been around since 2006 and have become one of the most popular brands among consumers. Runa Energy drinks are made from natural ingredients such as green tea, banana, grapeseed oil, and more. The company has recently expanded into the United States market. They have their own production facility in Costa Rica.
Runa Energy Drinks Description:
There are many different types of energy drinks available today, but none compare to runa energy drink. The company claims that their products contain no artificial flavors or colors and all ingredients are 100% natural. There is nothing wrong with drinking these drinks, but there are some things to consider before purchasing them. Runa Energy Drinks claim to provide a variety of benefits including:
Boosting mental alertness and concentration
Improving memory and learning ability
Reducing fatigue during physical activity
Promoting weight loss through increased metabolism and fat burning.
Runa Energy Drinks Ingredients:
Green Tea Extract – Contains caffeine, which helps boost your mood. The caffeine in green tea may cause drowsiness if consumed too frequently.
Ginger Root Extract – The main active ingredient in ginger is called gingerol. There is no evidence that gingerol provides any benefits for enhancing memory or concentration.
Banana Powder – Although it is true that bananas are good sources of vitamin B6, there is not enough in a single serving to provide any significant benefit to the consumer.
Raspberry Powder – This ingredient has no known benefits in terms of concentration or memory.
Grapeseed Oil – Provides essential fatty acids and antioxidants that help improve the heart and circulatory system.
Guayusa – A plant native to the Amazon Jungle, this ingredient contains caffeine which is a stimulant. There is no evidence that guayusa provides any unique benefits above and beyond caffeine alone.
Yerba Maté – Another plant native to the Amazon, this ingredient contains caffeine which is a stimulant. There is no evidence that yerba mate provides any unique benefits above and beyond caffeine alone.
B Vitamins – B vitamins are essential in regulating metabolism, promoting healthy skin, hair, and eyes. They also help in the production of DNA within cells.
Toothed Clubmoss – Also known as olifiar, this ingredient contains a number of vital nutrients that help strengthen bones and promote healthy teeth.
How to take Runa Energy Drink:
The company suggests that you drink one can (20.4 ounces) of their energy drink every four to six hours. Do not exceed more than three cans within a 24 hour period. You should not drink more than 2 cans in the first 6 hours.
Side Effects of Runa Energy Drink:
The company does not provide a list of ingredients or their quantities on the product label. This makes it difficult to know how much of any given ingredient you are receiving. The website suggests that their drinks are safe for most people and they have not received many complaints from customers. However, there has been some controversy over the use of guayusa which contains high levels of caffeine.
There is currently insufficient evidence to prove that guayusa causes health problems, but it might be best to stay away from this ingredient if you are highly sensitive to stimulants.
There are many energy drinks on the market today, but very few of them have able to take the market by storm in the way that Runa has been able to.
Runa is manufactured by a company based in Los Angeles, California that also sells several other types of tea. Runa markets their drinks as an all natural energy beverage that is healthy for the body and will not cause the jitters that come from drinking other similar beverages on the market.
Runa comes in several different flavor varieties including Passion Fruit, Watermelon, Lemon, Orange, and Original. A 12 pack of cans sells for $11.99 on their website.
There are mixed feelings about this product online. Most people either love it or hate it. Of the 1,200 reviews on Runa’s website, the beverage has a 3.5 rating.
While this seems slightly above average, many complaints center around receiving the wrong flavor. For example, passion fruit is much more popular than watermelon, but if you order a 12 pack of cans you have an equal chance of receiving either one.
On Amazon, the beverage has a 3.5 star rating. Here the main complaint is that two of the most popular varieties (passion fruit and watermelon) are difficult to find in stock. In fact, many of the reviews mention ordering six or more cans of each flavor only to receive different ones in the mail.
Runa Energy Drink Price:
A 12 pack of cans will cost you $11.99 on their website.
Other Products from Runa:
Runa also sells several other types of tea such as Organic Good Night, Detox, and Beauty. These products also come in several different flavor varieties.
Runa has a great taste to it and the product seems to be very popular. Some people have complained about not receiving their preferred flavor most of the time. This can be a concern if you have your heart set on one of the more rare varieties. Hopefully this issue will be fixed in the near future.
For now, if you want to try this beverage, we recommend ordering several cans of each flavor to make sure you get what you want.
