Meet the Kutin Family Powerlifters

The Kutins are a family of powerlifter from Russia. They have won many international competitions including World’s Strongest Man, European Championships and even winning the Mr Universe title twice! Their strength is legendary and they’ve been competing together since their teens. Nowadays they’re known worldwide as one of the most successful families in powerlifting history.

Their father Vladimir is the undisputed strongest man in the world with a bodyweight of 300kg (660lbs). His brother Alexander is considered by some to be stronger than him. Their mother Irina is also strong, but not quite as strong as her two sons. She’s just average weight wise. Her husband Pavel is a very good coach and motivator for them all, but isn’t really involved in training or competition himself.

They live in a house called Kutin-Kutina. It’s located near Moscow, Russia. You can see it on Google Maps here.

The Kutins are famous for having several children: Natalia (18), Yulia (16) and Anastasia (12). All three girls compete at the national level while Anastasia competes internationally too.

They began weight training when they were teenagers. They were all very strong at a young age, even Anastasia. When she was five years old she could already squat her own bodyweight. By the time she was twelve she was squatting three times her bodyweight and deadlifting four times!

By the time Anastasia was fifteen she was competing at the national level in the sport of powerlifting. Her father was training her himself. By the time she was sixteen she was competing at the European level in the sport of powerlifting. Her father was still training her himself. By the time Anastasia was eighteen she was competing at the world level in the sport of powerlifting.

Her father still wasn’t training any of his other children by then so he decided to train Anastasia himself. By the time Anastasia was twenty she was competing at the elite level in the sport of powerlifting and becoming a very well-known name in the sport.

Here we are in the present and now many people around the world have heard of her. She’s won medals at World Championships, European Championships, etc. Even at the Olympics! Each year she sets new world records in her lifts. Many predict that she’ll only get better from here.

So, while the rest of her family have been winning medals in the sport of powerlifting, Anastasia is winning more than all the rest of them combined. It’s no wonder why some people consider her the strongest girl in the world even though there are other girl powerlifters out there.

Who do you think is stronger, Anastasia or Zulfiya?

Zulfiya

Zulfiya is a 16 year old girl from Kazakhstan. Her father is a powerlifter too and he trained her from when she was very young. She also has a younger brother who is in his teens and also a powerlifter.

Zulfiya was born with a condition called Macrosomia. This causes her to be much taller and heavier than the average person. Due to this condition she has difficulty performing everyday activities like walking and keeping up with the rest of her class at school.

She’s around 1.
