The 21-Day Kettlebell Challenge: Day 1

The first day of the 21-day kettlebell swing challenge was yesterday (July 5th). I am not sure if it is possible to do the whole thing in one week but I did try!

I have been training with my friend Dave for over two years now and we both love kettlebells so when he suggested doing a 21-day kettlebell challenge together, we thought why not?

We started off by going through the basic warm up routine. For me, this consisted of 20 minutes of walking followed by 15 minutes of jogging. Then we would do some light stretching and then start our workout routine. We had planned to do a few different exercises each day but decided to stick with just three for the first five days because it seemed like such a simple plan at the time.

On day six, we were still working out at the same pace and hadn’t even reached the weight room yet. So we decided to take a break from exercise for a while.

At around noon, Dave went into town to buy some food. When he came back, he told us that he found something called “Kettlebells Unlimited” which sells all kinds of kettlebells. He took us there and we looked around for a bit. The owner of the store, who is also the one who invented the challenge, was there so we decided to ask him some questions. When we asked him about the 21-day kettlebell swing challenge, he said it wasn’t designed to be done in just 21 days and that it is actually much more complicated than that.
