The critical art of recovery for crossfitters is not something that you want to think about during your workouts. You just have to do it because if you don’t, then you are going to get injured or worse. If you are like most people, then your body will tell you when its ready to stop working out. That’s why it is so important that we all take care of our bodies properly before we even start training again!

So what exactly does it mean to recover from a workout?

Well, there are many different ways to go about doing this, but I am going to give you some ideas here.

1) Rest – Resting is one of the best things you can do for yourself.

When you rest, your muscles relax and become less tense which allows them to heal faster.

2) Cool Down – A cool down is simply taking a break from exercise.

This could be walking around outside, playing with your dog, watching TV or anything else that you feel like doing. Just make sure you do NOT overdo it though! If you need to walk around for 10 minutes, then only 5 minutes is okay. It doesn’t matter how much time you spend resting; just make sure that you aren’t overdoing it!

3) Massage – Getting a massage can be very relaxing.

Just make sure that if you go this route, you don’t break your bank!

4) Restroom – Going to the restroom is very important because your body needs to expel waste material.

A lot of people think they should hold it in which causes a lot of problems in the future. The main problem here is that it can cause an infection. So do not be afraid to use the restroom!

5) Drink Water – This should go without saying, but you need to drink a lot of water after your workout!

The easiest way to do this is to have a big jug of water near you when you’re working out. You can even add fruits to it to give it more flavor. Doing this is going to help your body recover a lot better than if you did not drink anything.

I hope these tips help you out a lot! Remember, a happy body means a happy you! So take care of yourself and stay positive.
