The need to eat bugs for protein (NFP) is a growing trend in the world today. NFP is not just limited to those who are interested in it, but also to everyone else who wants to improve their health and live longer. There are many benefits of eating insects for human consumption. Insects have been used as food for humans since ancient times. They are known as “the oldest animal” because they were eaten long before other animals were domesticated.

Insects are considered as one of the most nutritious foods. They contain all essential amino acids, vitamins, minerals and fiber. Insects are rich sources of proteins such as casein and whey, which are very high in protein content.

The protein quality of insects is higher than that of meat or fish because they do not require processing to make them palatable for humans.

There are various types of insects that can be consumed for human nutrition. Some of these include: crickets, mealworms, grasshoppers, locusts and aphids. These insects are available in different sizes and shapes.

Insects come in several colors including black, brown, red and white. Most insects are sold in jars or packets. You may buy them from local markets or online stores like Amazon or eBay. They can be kept in a refrigerator for future consumption.

Before you start eating insects, it’s important to learn how to prepare them. Different kinds of insects should be cooked in different ways. Most people prefer to cook caterpillars, grasshoppers, bees, ants and termites.

Other insects like the pupae, maggots and flies are generally eaten alive or dried up. You can also buy pre-cooked and canned insects in some markets.
