Why Can’t I Lose Body Fat Percentage?
The reasons why you are not losing body fat percentage are many. Some of them include:
1) Your metabolism isn’t working properly.
If your metabolism is too slow, then it will take longer for you to burn calories than if your metabolism was running at its optimal level. So, the only way to get rid of unwanted pounds is to increase your metabolic rate so that you burn more calories per day than before.
2) You don’t have enough energy to burn off all those extra calories.
When you eat more food, your stomach fills up with food and your body starts storing some of it. However, there is another type of stored food which is called “non-stored” or “free”. Free fatty acids are different from stored fats because they are not burned in any way when consumed.
They simply sit around unused until needed again later on. These non-stored fats are mostly found in your liver.
3) You are eating too much sugar.
Sugar is a simple carbohydrate which means it contains one molecule of glucose (a type of sugar). The main reason why you don’t lose weight is because most foods contain lots of carbohydrates and not enough protein or fat. A high carb intake causes insulin levels to rise and this increases hunger, leading to overeating and weight gain.
4) Your hormones are out of balance.
Hormones are chemicals that control various processes in the body. When they’re out of balance, they can cause all kinds of different issues. For example, if you have too much estrogen in your body, then this can cause weight gain.
5) You don’t exercise enough.
You need to exercise on a regular basis to build muscle and burn more calories. The more muscle you have, the faster your metabolism will be. Also, be sure to strength train as it helps you burn more fat even when you are at rest.
6) You eat too much food.
The saying “You are what you eat” is true when it comes to weight gain or loss. If you eat too much, then you will gain weight. It’s as simple as that.
