Wes Kennedy

Wes Kennedy was born in 1951 in New York City. His father died when he was young and his mother raised him alone. After high school, he attended the University of Maryland where he studied journalism. He worked at several newspapers before joining the Associated Press from 1986 to 1993. During his time with AP, he covered everything from the Gulf War to Hurricane Andrew and won numerous awards for his work. He later became a staff reporter for WJLA-TV in Washington DC. In 1997, he joined NBC News as a national correspondent covering crime and justice issues. He left NBC in 2002 to become a freelance writer. Since then, he’s published two books: “The Last Days of the American Republic” (2005) and “Wes Kennedy: A Life in Journalism” (2008). He now writes mostly about politics and current events. Wes Kennedy is married to a woman named Jennifer. They have three children together. He has two children from a previous marriage.He loves this sport and wants to stay involved with it for as long as he lives. He is a dedicated assistant coach at his alma mater, and loves working with the team, especially the young and upcoming talent at the club. He also gives private lessons to players during the offseason. He helps them with their training, and works on improving their abilities. He is always on the lookout for players with raw talent and the desire to improve. He has no plans of retiring from this sport anytime soon. The best is yet to come. He plans on expanding his training business, and taking it to a national level. He wants to work with more players, more schools, and hopefully get a number of them to professional levels.
